glitterness

I am so into glitter at the moment it's so crazy. :D I never liked glitter that much on my nails, probably because I've always had short nails. So then I saw others use it on short nails and thought why not?. I used a navy blue metallic base colour, then purple mix in with turquoise glitter over the top. I am hoping my little finger nails grow back soon after evil Acrylics.

Polished used were:

La Colors - Blue Lagoon
La Colors - Jewel Tone

Mua Fur effect - blue

I love these fur effects, had so much fun on the weekend with them. I did my friends nails since she was curious by them. I said in the title they are blue but they actually look really purple in person under different lights.

Flower/plant nail art

Not really sure what to call these, I was inspired by a plants label/tag but it looked more like a flower on branches. I was very happy with the outcome. I had to do them on false nails and blue tac them on, since I removed my acrylics and it's made my nails so brittle. :(

Glitter nails

I have always attempted to take photographs of glitter nails and the flash from the camera always made it too dark, when I took the flash off it would blur, under light you would see glare. So I spent an hour or so making a light box from a cardboard box I took from work. I cut out a square part on top and put Voile so I did not get too much light in causing glare.

Acrylics

I have been doing a lot of Acrylics recently for myself , friends and family. I used Acrylics "popits" on these as I wanted to see the outcome and I actually prefer them than using the acrylic brush the ordinary way. I still like the other way though as well. What do you think? they look so nice and smooth.

I had to buy these new Barry M textured effect nail polishes, they come out like concentrate on your nails. I soooo love them. I recommend everyone buy them.

What I like most about them is they dry pretty quick and don't chip so fast either. I got them all for £12 instead of £16.

Tattoo inspired nail art

Inspired by the amazing Jerry sailor, his work was/is amazing. I like my outcome of this, the rose is my favorite. I saw a tutorial this morning by PinkFlyingCow on YouTube and was like I must try this out.

Mix and match nail art

 

A bit of mix and match nail art, Hounds tooth, leopard, ling and some Aztec.  Best to see original size of the picture for better quality.  Nail polishes I used are:

Models own - Peach Sherbet

Barry M - Turquoise

Black Acrylic paint.

Starfish Acrylic nails

 

Aqua blue tips with some gems and sculptured starfish. I did these on a close friend of mine, she and my mum are really the only two people who keep their acrylic nails on, bugs me when people just pick them off grrrr.

zig zag cut outs

 

At first I was like hmm I am not sure if I like these, but to be honest I kinda like how they turned out. They only took 5 minutes because I used a Zig zag tape pattern and a color nail polish.

Color used:

Rimmel London I love lasting finish - 061 Exotica.

Tortoiseshell nail art

 

I LOVE this effect. My mum has a pair of sun glasses with Tortoiseshell on them, When I was a kid I remember staring at them never knowing what the effect was. It is a very messy but easy to do. I had a hard time removing nail polish of my cuticles though.

 

 

Rimmel London Swatch

 

One of my favorite nail polishes at the moment, reminds me of Tiffany & Co, London. 

Name of the nail polish is "Peppermint" by Rimmel London.

Valentine nail art

 

My Valentine nails, I like these and again Black and hot pink my favorite. <3

The heart on my thumb finger is made out of a Acrylic that I sculptured.

Aztec nail art

I could not wait to try out my new LA Colors nail polishes. Aztec always looks great with bright colors. There are many Aztec designs out there but I never find them boring :).

Leopard and Zebra tutorial

Leopard and Zebra with some bling, why not? :D I love the combination and the colors are perfect. Bright pink, white and Black always go well with each other.
